Blue whales and Fin Whales are common can be seen on near Dondra Pont. The annually huge amount of visitors is engaging with this and feel the maximum pleasure of whale watching. There are several sites are very famous for whale watching recently Mirissa became one of major tourist hub for whale watching. Near Dondra point, many blue whales can be captured at once. Early 6.30 A.M in the morning leave from Mirissa fishery harbor and there are many rules and regulations which imposed by coast guard of Sri Lanka. Usually, 9-15 nautical miles travel and it depends on the locations of whales. Not even whales there is an opportunity to watch dolphin as well as turtles.
